Story

October 1999

Foundation of the GmbH and expansion of the service portfolio. “GEM Günzl Einkaufsmanagement” (GbR) based in Loffenau becomes “GEM Gesellschaft für Einkauf und Materialwirtschaft mbH” based in Karlsruhe.

2002

At the turn of the year 2001/2002, GEM was split into two independent companies. While Bernd Dürring with GEM Gesellschaft für Einkauf und Materialwirtschaft mbH, Karlsruhe, concentrated increasingly on taking over complete procurement processes, Ralf Günzl with GEM & FOR YOU GmbH, Nordhorn, continued to focus on expanding purchasing alliances in the construction / precast concrete industry.

2007

Foundation of GEM Beschaffungsservice GmbH with headquarters in Karlsruhe. Initially, as a joint venture between GEM and GEM & FOR YOU and the shareholders Bernd Dürring and Ralf Günzl. This company takes on projects of a commercial nature and has as its first client the company Honeywell in Raunheim.

GEM Beschaffungsservice GmbH is renamed GEM SupplyServices GmbH. The new mission of GSS is to focus on consulting, benchmarking projects, interim purchasing, and purchasing alliances. The managing director and further shareholder is Holger Müller.

2011

Together with 4c business services GmbH, Marbeho GmbH founds United Procurement GmbH, catuuga GmbH, and acquires shares in GEMUNITY GmbH.

2013

GEM SupplyServices GmbH becomes MARBEHO SupplyServices GmbH. The registered office in Emmerthal is retained.

2014

Sale of shares in GEM Gesellschaft für Einkauf und Materialwirtschaft mbH, catuuga GmbH, and United Procurement GmbH, adjustment of shareholder structure.
